This part of the climb, the rocks were loose and medium-sized and red. It was the toughest part of the climb. Still not bad, though. We were told a lot of things about how to prepare for this climb. Lots of people bring cans of oxygen along and high-performance climbing gear. That's a little bit ridiculous, though. We managed very well with good shoes, warm, layered clothes, and light packs. The climb was steady and slow. Because the air is thin, we had to pause every six meters or so to catch our breath, but we developed an easy rythm and enjoyed the hike very much.
