We departed for the summit at about 6:30am. You can see the roof of the hut where we stayed. The air was cool and brisk. I think the temperature at this altitude was 42 degrees. (Jonathan brought a thermometer along). Despite the cool temperature, the sun was not kind. With no trees or covering of any kind, we were just waiting to get fried. I liked the heat and didn't cover my neck until it was too late. Oops.
