Sunrise. We woke up at 4:30 to catch the sunrise at about 4:50. It was quite beautiful. The air at that altitude is so clean and fresh. Thin, too, but it feels healthy. At night I woke up to use the bathroom. I had to go outside to a different building. Look at the stars from up there was amazing! We don't see the stars in Japan. There are too many lights all the time. A lot of people climb Fuji overnight so they can reach the summit by sunrise. Personally, I don't think the sunrise was so amazing as to motivate me to climb overnight when I would be tired enough as it was. Staying overnight on the mountain and waking up early was the perfect plan.
