Right away we got Emily started on the sightseeing. On our way back to Chiba from the airport, we stopped by Naritasan temple, an old and famous temple area in Japan. We locked Emily's suitcase up in a locker near the station and walked through the humidity to the temple grounds. Here, Emily is washing her hands - a symbolic ritual typically practiced before you enter the temple grounds proper.
