I will try to avoid showing too many "scenery" photos because they're always boring. But Fuji was really beautiful. Some of my students said they didn't like climbing Fuji because it's so barren and treeless and there's "nothing to see." But I liked the barrenness. Especially as we climbed higher, The emptiness and deadness felt peaceful. Only one plant grows on this mountain, which you can see in this photo. I also liked to imagine these rocks when they were fresh lava spilling down the mountain hundreds of years ago.
